The Slingshot Bridge Table
is a table designed with Isaac Mizrahi. The two toned lacquer finish sits upon a hollow aluminum tabletop. Within the table top are springloaded mechanisms that fire a rod from the leaf into the table with a resounding and confident pop with the press of a button. The leaves, when folded beneath the table, are held tightly in place by very strong magnets, allowing for a variety of configurations. This table is about transitions. From the lacquer to the aluminum, to the spring loaded pops and magnetized thumps which punctuate the locked configurations the Slingshot Bridge Table is full of surprises.
