Inspired by the problem of creating a line of computer furniture for children, Kapow Design started in Long Island City, NY in 2001. While the children's computer furniture plan percolated we were very fortunate to accrue an impressive client list in the custom furniture market as well as developing the Gravity line which premiered at the 2002 ICFF with great response.

 

In 2005 Kapow Design headquarters relocated to Portland, Oregon, a town steeped in design, creative talent and self expression. While still accepting opportunities for custom work, we now devote our skills and resources to developing manufacturable lines for short run furniture projects. We are also very proud to be able to offer our own products that are only available through our website and showroom in SE Portland.
   

We specialize in modern contract furniture design, tradeshow booths, children's
furniture, environments, design/manufacturing consultation, and of course, any interesting projects.
